This is Gila. Gila is 9 years old who lives on Sorotzkin. A smart, beloved, sweet, and smiling girl.

Just three months ago, Gila was still playing with her six siblings. Now she is fighting an especially aggressive cancer. Her parents were told she needs to go to Boston for life-saving surgery.

Gila’s father doesn’t know where to begin — his world has collapsed. He’s a kollel student who also teaches and manages to get by financially, but now he has to stop even that. Life has suddenly changed. The mother is a kindergarten teacher. They don’t have much in savings.

The treatment costs $120,000. But how can we put a price tag on the life of this 9-year-old little girl?
