RARE PIDYON SHVUYIM: My daughter, emotionally and medically fragile, spent her teenage years in religious boarding schools. When she turned 18, she found herself ALONE AND DESPERATE.

Shalom,

My name is Mordechai. I live in Beitar.

The last five years with my daughter Yael have been a journey, but I NEVER imagined her situation would come to this.

Yael has always been fragile, both medically and emotionally.
The nurses in Shaarei Tzedek recognize her easily.

Since she was fourteen years old, she has lived in a religious boarding school for struggling youth.

B”H, Yael has blossomed emotionally and even received her Bagrut certification.
She visits home frequently, and I accompany her when she is hospitalized.

Once Yael became a legal adult in November, she needed her own apartment.
I struggle financially, there is no way I could help her with this.

Still a young girl, YAEL WAS EXPLOITED!.
Some people met her in France, and she took a package for them for pay.
They insisted, ‘Everybody does it, nothing will happen to you.’
When she tried to return to Israel, Yael was arrested and immediately imprisoned.

Friends flew me to France, and I am working to bring her home, but I have no funds!
The legal and bail fees are astronomical!

I ask all of Klal Yisrael to help me bring Yael back home to Israel, so she can continue to succeed.

The clock is ticking, and she must get out!

Donate now to help me get Yael home!

READ A LETTER FROM YAEL:

Wednesday, April 23, 2025
To all the people I love,
Today was a showering day, I’ve just got back into my cell.
Showering in the morning is weird for me. I’m used to showering at night before I go to sleep.
But almost everything here is different than what I’m used to -
I’m slowly, slowly getting used to things.
I don’t know if I’ve told you, but here you can shower 3 times a week - I’m happy it doesn’t come out on Shabbos, I don’t think I could survive with only 2 showers a week.
I still am not able to call and it’s really frustrating.
I’m waiting until tomorrow for Mrs. Dina to visit me, and then I can ask her advice about making video calls.
Yesterday, the French girl told me it’s her 6th time in jail.
The previous times it was because she drove without a license.
It sounds stupid not to get a license and sit in jail 6 times because of it.
So what if you are 35!
I’m really learning a lesson from that.
The Brazilian girl that comes with us does not communicate at all.
But she’s here because she smuggled cocaine.
Today it’s pouring; I wonder if they will take us out into the yard.
The yard is tiny. I walk in circles around myself.
I’m waiting for your letters to hear what’s going on with you.
Love you loads ♥️
Yael
