Hi, my name is Ruti and I am a kindergarten teacher.

I grew up completely alone. No parents, no siblings, no extended family to call when life got hard. Boruch Hashem, eventually several foster families took me in and helped me survive.

I was so thrilled recently to tell my students good news- That I got engaged to a refined, wonderful young man! But as my wedding date approaches—just one week after Shavuos—the reality of having no family support is hitting hard straight to my heart. While other kallahs are busy with their mothers preparing, I am alone trying to figure out how to afford a wedding dress and a hall, let alone a place to live.

Please help me- Not just to pull off a simple, simple, wedding but to literally give me the things I have davened for and cried for and yearned for my entire life: A real home, and a real family.
